Do you hold back in a crowd, or feel like you're not quite good enough? A lot of people feel this way, and it can change.
Low confidence often comes from beliefs we picked up years ago, usually without noticing. Those beliefs can quietly shape your work, your friendships and how you talk to yourself. They're hard to shift on your own.
What people tell me
People who come to see me describe:
- A harsh inner critic
- Worrying they're not good enough, or that no one could love them
- Finding it hard to make friends
- Struggling to speak up at work
- Feeling shy or embarrassed much of the time, and avoiding eye contact
- Dreading meeting new people
What we work on
Using hypnotherapy, NLP and counselling, we look at the beliefs underneath and practise new ways of responding. Goals might be feeling more relaxed meeting people, speaking up in meetings, or simply being a bit kinder to yourself.
What a session looks like
The first session is mostly a chat. We talk about the situations where your confidence drops, what you'd like to feel instead, and a bit about your background. I'll check that hypnotherapy is a good fit for you, then put together a plan.
From session two we usually bring in hypnosis. I guide you into a calm, focused state, and you stay aware and in control throughout. We might rehearse a situation you've been dreading, like a meeting or a social event, so it feels more familiar when it comes around.
Common questions
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on you and what you'd like to work on, so I can't give a set number. We'll review how things are going as we go, and you're always free to decide how many sessions suit you.
I find talking about myself hard. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Lots of people who come to see me feel the same way. We go at your pace, you only share what you're comfortable with, and there's no pressure to have the right words.
Good to know
Everyone responds differently, so I can't promise a particular result. Hypnotherapy and counselling don't replace medical care, and they sit comfortably alongside your GP or other health professionals.
