Overcoming Depression in Melbourne

Victorian Hypnosis and Counselling

If you've been feeling flat for a while, finding it hard to get going, or wondering what the point is, it's worth talking to someone.

Depression is hard on the person living with it and on the people close to them. It can be a tough cycle to break without support. I offer counselling and hypnotherapy at a pace that suits you, with no pressure to rush.

What people tell me

When people first come in, they often mention:

  • Sadness or hopelessness that won't lift
  • Crying more than usual
  • Trouble concentrating
  • Being short tempered
  • Wanting to do things but not being able to start
  • Changes in appetite or weight

What we work on

We'll work out what matters most to you. For some people that's getting some hope back. For others it's small, concrete things, like getting back to a hobby they've dropped or setting one goal for the week and sticking to it.

If you're feeling unsafe or in crisis, please call Lifeline on 13 11 14, or 000 in an emergency. I'd also encourage you to see your GP, who can talk with you about other options, including a referral to a psychologist or psychiatrist.

Good to know

Everyone responds differently, so I can't promise a particular result. Hypnotherapy and counselling don't replace medical care, and they sit comfortably alongside your GP or other health professionals.
